First and foremost, I had a great time... It was the first time I had seen the indigo perform live... However, back in march, at the dame, the crowd was buck-wild... People were jumpin up n down, and bangin' on the floor... like crazy monkeys... it was awesome! But at the moon, my best friend gypsy and I were told to hush... I am not joking... LOL... We then realized we'd become the spaz-tastic spartan cheerleaders, from SNL... Granted a portion of my enthusiasm was induced by wine, but come on, I'm a gypsy, watching really awesome gypsies, what were we supposed to do? Sit on our hands and duct tape our mouths? Anywho, I was clealy over projecting my "happy aura," for that I appologize to any I may have offended... :) For future reference, bring your duct tape...

Tue, September 18, 2007 - 4:23 AMThat is funny. At one point after getting changed out of costuming and having a chance to actually sit down and watch the show I remember thinking " wow its really quiet in here." It was almost slightly embarrasing because here they had come all this way and worked so hard and the crowd had zero enthusiasm. I guess everyone was just super concentrated.
In my mind there is no such thing as TOO much school spirit.
This reminds me of a time when my husband was almost in a fight with a guy because he refused to sit down at a CATS basketball game. A basketball game!!! GEESE, sometimes people take themselves WAY too seriously!! -

Tue, September 18, 2007 - 5:22 AMI didn't notice the crowd being quiet. Of course, I was hoopin', hollerin' and zagarheetin' the whole time. LOL
Speaking for myself, the times I got quiet were when I was concentrating on watching their moves and was just enthralled by the performances.
Maybe everyone was a little stupified because of their awesomeness.
The Rakadu Gypsy troupe were amazing too. They had so much energy and it was so fun watching them. They come up with the most amazing ideas.

Tue, September 18, 2007 - 9:21 AMI thought it was the greatest show I've seen in Lexington, and I know I wasn't exactly quiet. I did, at some point, hope I wasn't offending anyone around me though, so maybe the audience was generally awestruck . I thought the venue was very nice (seating, big screens, and viewing from three sides all good things), and both troupes were so super-duper on their game!!! It was so fun. Thank you Rakadu, our ever gracious hostesses!! I loved seeing so many perform Engrish Bwudd - too cool for school - your staging was fun, flowing, graceful, and worthy of Man Man. It was only the second time I saw the Indigo perform all together, and the first time was Spirit of the Tribes, so it was a whole different ballpark. Quite possibly the greatest show I've ever seen......................
See you next time. -

Tue, September 18, 2007 - 7:46 PMI'm gald you guys are so understanding... I do think 'the moon' was way better equiped than 'the dame'... I could at least see what was going on... beautiful decor etc... I'm just not used to so many rules at a club, I work at and hang out at the bar complex ( way more free spirited)... there's a dress code at the moon that's heavily inforced for boys, and I wasnt allowed to dace on the elevated platforms with my bestfriend once the floor was open, again because I'm a boy.... I politely informed the bouncer I was sister... he didn't feel that constituted my right to dace on a platform... }:o) hehehehe, but you should have seen his face when I said I was a sister... priceless... -

Thu, September 20, 2007 - 7:07 AMThat is sooo stupid!!! Not allowed to dance on the platform because your a guy?!! What if I dragged a guy up there with me?
"Excuse me miss, but men are not allowed on the platforms."
"WTF?! What kind of stupid rule is that??!"
During the show, I was pretty loud myself, and heard someone behind me say, "Damn she's loud.".
Other than that, the show rocked! -
